St. Michael’s, Maryland
Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum

In collaboration with Annum Architects, Davin while at Living Design Lab developed this first phase of a greater master plan for the museum. The project provides two new exhibit spaces that are oriented to a central quad. The building is designed as a contemporary interpretation of the local vernacular, utilizing wood cladding and red metal gabled roofing to compliment the context of existing boat sheds. At the same time, the building is decidedly modern in its proportions and detailing. The project sensitively responds to not only architecture, but also the environment with energy efficient design.
